FolkWords believes it's important to bring the huge amount of excellent folk music (in its broadest sense) that exists below the 'mountain top' of success (only scaled by a few leading musicians and bands) to the attention of a wider audience. That's why, along with researching the book, FolkWords regularly scours through the folk world. I listen to musicians, bands, songwriters and singers - the 'established' doing new, the 'new' doing different and those just doing their own thing.
'FolkWords Reviews': If you would like to
talk to me (before I find you) or if you would like FolkWords to review your
latest album, see below.
-
Want a FolkWords review? If you've got a release on the
way or you want an independent review of your latest demo or
album then visit the Contact page for my earth-bound address and pop that CD in the post.
- Read FolkWords reviews? Visit the Reviews
section. Here you'll find reviews of albums, singers, songwriters,
bands and musicians. If there's any justice many of these could (should) be the artists making waves in the future of folk.
By the way there's no guarantee you'll get the review you expect or want. If I think the product is good I'll say so - if I don't, I won't. (There's no sycophancy here and sugar-sweet words are for birthday cards.) The only guarantee I make is this: my reviews are free, honest, unbiased, and all that buying the beer gets you is 'thank you'.
